Our featured speaker this month will be Ahmad Ward, Executive Director at Mitchelville Freedom Park. Ahmad will present an overview covering the creation and operation of the commemorative park on a site where no visible elements of the town remain— a challenging and rewarding undertaking. Once complete, Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park will become a unique and substantial visitor attraction, having the power to bring high-value culture and heritage tourists to the Island, stimulate the economy of the north end, and generate national recognition for native islanders and the Gullah Geechee culture.

The $25 lunch menu includes the meal, beverage, tax, and tip. Menus are given to attendees at the check-in/arrival table, near the meeting room area. The menu fee also includes the use of their facility for our meeting room.
